Works...haven't had time to test all of my little favorite corners of the OS yet but it is nice having the CNR client built into this version. Thank you for the new release and for waiting until most of the alpha quirks were out.

I am confused. My products states 6.0.15 but states in much smaller letters now that it is the OEM version, which I thought was 6.0.0 which I have already downloaded. If 6.0.15 is the GM what has happened to 6.1.0? Do I need to clear my browser cache? Am I wasting my time downloading 6.0.15? Do I stay longer with FOS? I have had excellent experience from LOS and FOS except for my own way out of date experience.
By the by, where can I find out about the syntax of the language(s) used with Linux systems. Thanks David. |

Sir
I am pleased with Freespire, so far, but I find Linspire crippled, and it does not match the depictions on "how to do" web sites. I have, so far, found it impossible to access the internet. If I am not alone in this view, a lot of damage could be done concerning the reputation of the Company. robertnlr |

Latest Linspire 6.0.15 General Release has the same featues as Freespire plus some package upgrades and microsoft codecs: Windows Media, True Type Fonts, as well as Open XML translators that allow OpenOffice to open and edit Microsoft Word .docx formatted documents. So you should have no problem with Linspire if your running Freespire fine. Its just an improvement/upgrade. Plus the free support. Ray.. ![]() |

What is the difference between the released CD and the program I downloaded and burned to a CD a few months ago?
I haven't had the best of fortune with that program/CD Thank you Jim ----- James M. Haviland, RN (253) 508-3155 jhavilan@comcast.net jhavilan710@yahoo.com |

I have Linspire 6.0 OEM installed.. how do I upgrade to 6.0.15 without clean install? I don't want to apt-get ing all software that's not included in the CD. It's totally wasting time.
Can I just apt-get upgrade? |

apt-get upgrade apt-get dist-upgrade However you have to make sure you have the updated source.list or you'll screw it up. Dr. Jones has recommended just doing a clean install, as there are somethings that the upgrade does not get. Ray |
