Have a dual boot setup with grub, Win2K, and LOS 5.1.427 on 3 partitions:
---- In LOS (from fdisk) ------------------- -- In LOS [Konqueror] ------- -- In Win2K, Windows explorer
1 = FAT16 (1992028 blocks) ---------- -- /mnt/hda1 [1.9 GB] -------- -- C: at 1.89 GB
2 = Linux (10482412 blocks), --------- -- hda2 not visible
3 = FAT32 LBA (26603640 blocks) -- -- /mnt/hda3 [25.4 GB] ------ -- D: at 25.3 GB

The winnt directory is on C:, which should be partition 1; LOS seems to be on 2; part. 3 is data and MS Office files. Want to access some documents that (I hope) are on hda2. Size of hda is 40 GB; geometry is 4865 cyl .
Any hints on what is going on?

Your first two partitions don't make sense.
If yiou could run LinspireLive desktop , get into Utilities > Konsole. When in command line type ' cfdisk ' this will give you your partitions layouit.
Win2K should be on a partition at least 5 GB and on HDA1 and formatted at least FAT32. It won't run on FAT16. That small FAT16 partiution must hafve been created before for some strange reason, maybe an NT bootloader.
While in LinspireLive desktop , bring up File Manager and under /mnt/xxx you may find your missing files.
