guys it's more than a week and nobody is answering me, and i'm using my dial-up internet. you know it's very slow and i need my dsl connection.
PLEASE somebody help me , I'm dying here!
I installed my modem successfully in mandriva 2007, but in freespire, ueagle-atm even doesn't make! idon't know what to do. my modem is asus aam6000ug and it's usb.
I saw something strange, that three lamps of my modem is on.(Power Wan and Data). usually data flickers during recieving data, but it's on always and i dont know what is it. Please Help me.

As usual, the best advice is to use a NIC as the connection to an ISP, unless you have a notebook with no slots available..in which case, you might be stuck with a usb product
If a NIC can be used, it will be a much better solution, (pppoe), and will run quicker (the devices, not necessarily you ISP system), as they often cap download speeds anyway, and no amount of tweaking can fix.
