For several weeks I've tried to go to Firefox page on CNR to see what version is currently available for Linspire 6. This is the url:
http://www.cnr.com/products/overview/firefox;jsessionid=8BE782047A1B348311FCC8439B35CD1 E
It leads nowhere. Says "Transfering Data from Google.com..., but never loads.
Can anyone tell me what version of Firefox is currently available for Linspire 6 and, How do I get past the above mentioned non-transferring page?

Not sure the status of cnrt but you will have to most likely update firefox manually...

Just go to http://www.getfirefox.com/ and download the latest version.

It should be a compiled binary so just unpack the tarball in your home directory and run it from there.

No installation needed.

I'm not sure if this works but here is the direct link to the English Firefox version 3.6

FireFox 3.6 does indeed work with the latest Lin/Freespire. I recommend using ubuntuzilla (do a google search) it will register Firefox with the OS for dependency reasons.
